Folder Icon Changer 5.3

Customizes specific folders, files and applications by changing their icon into one that you select. Can turn regular BMP, JPEG and GIF images into icons for your programs.

If you wish to customize your folders’ icons, this is the best tool to use. Folder Icon Changer enables you to personalize the icons of each and every folder or file. This application is highly useful when it comes to exporting your icons from the ICO format to other image formats, like JPG, BMP, JPEG, and GIF. This tool also allows you to make the folder icons look like you are on a Mac, even though you are using Windows.

There are some other very good features available, like the possibility of searching for icons through various directories. This tool also has the facility to revert the changes done. This application has a very good user interface and it is very easy to learn as well. However, it does not offer you the option to change multiple icons in just one go. Besides, it does not work with Vista and Windows 7 operating systems, though it has been thoroughly tested under Windows XP/2000/2003.

It is completely free, but you will experience some level of botheration by some advertisements that keep appearing on this tool’s main screen.
